~My brother, during his first viewing of Project Runway last night
p.s. I have new posts ready to go but blogger hasn't been letting me load photos. Coming up: South American backpacking fashion tips! Don't Show-cha Your Chocha! Inadvertently Ask Daddy Likey!
Follow-up comment that I find equally hilarious:
I couldn't agree more! I can just hear him saying, "Kate, you need to leave for work in two minutes and you haven't even started on hair and makeup yet. I find this troubling. Really- it's 'make it work' time."

I'm kind of in love with your brother over this one statement.
I'm looking forward to the regular features!
A major "Don't Show-cha your chocha" this week on Gossip Girl. In fact, while I was watching it, my inner monologue actually involved the word chocha. You are seeping into my daily vernacular!
http://www.gossipgirlinsider.com/gallery/mortal-foes/ This is the best picture I could find, but it's bad and she's 15. In real life.
That is the most insightful comment. Makes me want to cry. I love Tim.
Can't wait!

Yes, blogger can be a pain in the (__!__) sometimes! I hope it treats you better soon cause I can't wait to see your regular features!
:D Can't imagine my bro's saying anything like that, though, they barely speak.

Your brother watches Project Runway with you?
Can I marry him?
I only just realized how often I think this myself! That's brilliant.
"Thomas, really...is this working for you? I think you need to do more with this."
"But it's just a peanut butter..."
"Try some jelly. I know you'll make it."
That really would be the best thing ever. I think I'd find Tim's presence oddly comforting.
I'm sure I could use that kind of help, too.
Oooh! ooh! Are you going to use the Chocha-rific Anna Sui "dress" I e-mailed to you a loooong time ago?
ooooOOOOooo I can't wait to hear your packing tips for this trip! My backpack is quivering with antici....pation.
hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I'd like Tim to come in and analyze my schedule:
"Leisha, I just think you have a lot going on here. *insert hand wave in general direction of calendar* I think you need to bring an editing eye to this. I'm just concerned you're being too ambitious."
Then I would nod in a very Leanne-esque manor and begin editing, and in the end, in true Leanne style, pull off something brilliant and well-executed.
(P.S. Are you as stoked as I am about how well she's representing Portland, OR?!)
Oh my gosh that is priceless. I love Tim Gunn. He's brilliant and calming and has impeccable taste. I read his book and think DUH! This would solve so many of those 2-minutes-to-get-dressed problems!
I totally picture a ghost Tim Gunn in my closet all the time. He often says "That's a whole lot of look." and then I wind up taking off a pair off kneesocks and a garish necklace. Thanks for your imaginary editing advice. Ghost Tim also sometimes shows up when I am shopping and thrifting.
that'd be so perfect!
me: tim, I'm having a really bad day :(
tim: talk to me
me: well...I don't know, I just don't know what to do with my life anymore
tim: this worries me
me: pouts
tim: that's a lot of look.
Imagine how great it would be if he brought Todd Oldham along! Tim would be kind, but critical, and Todd would excitedly advise me on how to make it all better.
my life would be amazing if tim gave me advice on all aspects of my life!
I'm a Tim Gunn fan too! He's kind of a guru... whenever I'm in doubt about anything, it's kind of like "What would Tim say to me? Probably that the pepperoni is a little costume-y on the thin crust, have I thought about trying olive? Because the judges are really expecting to be wowed..."
Ok, so it doesn't work for ordering pizza, but pretty much everything else.
yes! i fully encourage all my guy friends to watch project runway as well.
tim gunn is pretty much like the cool great uncle i always wih i had :)
