Happy 3.14, Everybody!

I'm on my way to a Pi Party where we shall watch Pi and eat pizza pies followed by pecan pie. I assume you are making your math teacher proud and doing the same. Have a great weekend!

haha i'm glad you recognize this holiday. the math department at my school fights the principal every year to get him to release us at 1:59 and 26 seconds, instead of the usual 2:05pm for us, to try and get pi to 7 decimal places :)

my chemistry teacher celebrates mole day as well, Oct 23rd from 6:02 am-6:02 pm. kids in my class bring in things like quacaMOLE and MOLasses cookies haha.. yeah, we're all a bunch of nerds.

Today in my math class, we watched rap videos about math on Youtube, ate pie, read a story about Grandfather Tang, and found our birthdays in the decimals.
Pi is amazing.

is that the same movie where the lead character executes himself with a cordless drill?

No fair! English people can't celebrate pi because of our stupid reverso dates. The only way we could have legtimate pi day is if there was a 14th month. Bah. I want to bond with nerds, eat pie and watch Jewish maths thrillers too! Stupid Romans. Stupid Queen.

I'm going to binge eat non-significant pastries and sulk.

Becky.

When I wished people a Happy Pi Day, I then had to explain what it was. Happily when I said "you know, 3.14" most people got that. But, I didn't get any pie...
