Interview Time at The Fashion Time!

Check out an interview with me over at The Fashion Time Magazine for deep insights on fall trends, "chocharific" couture, the slightly fascist Jet Li Fan Club my best friend and I founded in high school, and much more.

Thanks so much to Kamola and MG for their superb interview questions and for writing perhaps the greatest introduction in history (which includes deft references to Echo & the Bunnymen and my rattlesnake-catching father).

I had so much fun with this and I hope you enjoy it!

This really made me smile because it's the kinda thing I would do:

In high school my best friend and I co-founded the Jet Li Fan Club, but we kicked out all the other members within the first two weeks because we didn’t feel they were fully committed to the cause.

I love you for bringing a dentist to your imaginary desert island. And hey, the volleyball thing worked for Hanks ...

You really are my favorite person. Period.

I feel compelled to tell you about the most famous person I've ever met: Erik E-freaking-strada. That's right. My friend Emily called, quite breathless, to tell me that he was at some CHP event, so I jumped in my car (being freshly licensed) and drove about 200 mph (to a CHP thing, I know, smart). There he was, in his black velour tracksuit and feathered hair splendour. We asked him to sign a t-shirt for our youth pastor, at which he said "Bless you, my child" and kissed Emily's forehead. He gave me a wonderfully creepy hug and I smelled like him all day.

Best. Day. Ever.

fab interview. love it.

since you're a portland person, i feel obliged to tell you how bitchin the new(ish?) goodwill is downtown. it's by pastini's. i'm from seattle so i have zero idea where that actually is, but i hit it up two-ish weeks ago and my tourguide/boyfriend's step-mom said it was newish. i found some badass stuff- rabbit fur chubby, anyone? little black dresses for one and all? genuine leather jackets that don't suck? yes PLEASE. also, sweet serving kits for cocktails on the go. just in case, you know.

unfortunately all the goodwills up here are nowhere near as awesome. friggin' seattle.
