Pinkie Mouse
Today I went in for a routine haircut and came out with pink streaks through my bangs. I've never dyed my hair before, but after seeing my stylist's cool magenta highlights, something possessed me to say, "Umm, can I have that too? Like, now?" Lucky for me, she had a spare 15 minutes and some extra color on hand.
I love how it turned out and can't believe I didn't do it sooner. I feel ready to conquer the world, or at the very least start a pop/punk band.
Note to my readers in the Portland area: I highly recommend Carrie Nicholas at Mascola's Salon. She's amazing and her cuts are less than 50 bucks. Give her a call!

Oh, man. OH MAN. Your hair is hawt stuff! I feel like often streaks of color in one's hair makes it look like the person scratched their head while holding a highlighter, but your 'do looks both intentional and effortless. And the shade of pink makes your eyes pop!

See, this is why I wish I were a blonde. Not because you guys allegedly have "more fun", but because you can experiment with hair colors with more ease than dark-haired ladies can. It looks great!

That looks amazing! I very nearly did the same thing with blue a couple of years ago, but my mother did not like the idea of me having bright blue hair in my graduation pictures, so it never got done. I still regret it.

The problem with colored highlights is they fade so fast - the brighter the color is to begin with it seems the faster they go. Believe me - I've had red, fuschia, turquoise and now violet. If you have dark hair you can use Paul Mitchell Inkworks and then do an "ink manicure" in the shower every couple of days to refresh it - bit of color mixed with conditioner - but don't forget the rubber gloves (Sexy!) to avoid getting colored palms. That's why my formerly blonde hair is now dark brown, to provide a foil for the bright color, and not get stained by the ink in the shower.
