Ahahahahaha!

I showed to my husband- he too did not know what a romper was. I explained that rompers are much maligned in the contemporary fashion world, and he felt the maligning was justified :D

I LOVE that she posted this on Craigs List.
My first day of 2nd grade outfit was a lovely purple and black striped romper '83. I remember having a similiar experience with some young ladies. (they completely got it)

P.S. Please show your brother my sons latest post with his fake mustaches. I thought he might enjoy the lip sweaters.

Hahaha, I really wasn't expecting a craigslist ad under that link. I totally get what that grl means, too! I always feel weird when I'm sitting on the toilet in just my bra and my romper's around my legs. I only started wearing rompers last year - I stupidly wore one during winter where I had like three layers on. It's tiring taking off the coat, sweater and then disrobing yourself with the romper and tights every time you have to go to the toilet.

It's appropriate then that when I saw the thumbnail on FB I thought it was a diaper.

Yeah, I had a romper too. It was the '80s and I was in 3rd grade. Now I have to reiterate the difference between rompers and sleepers to my hubby (sleepers have feet for chrissakes!) -- but as they relate to our baby, not women's fashion.
