Urine Damage and First Dates
Check out 21 other fabulous bloggers and myself doing our best interpretations of the first date outfit over at Joanna's equally fabulous Glamour.com blog, Smitten. When I sent my brother the picture of my outfit, he said, "Why are you posing in front of severe urine damage?" So, there you go.

By urine damage are we referring to that patchy grass? You look cute. Boy, everyone really went all out on their first date outfits. Far as I can recall, I only ever wore jeans and a black t-shirt.
I would never have marked that mentally as "urine damage." In fact, it went right into the "edgy urban landscape" category for me.
You were not kidding about loving electric blue, kitten. And rightly so: It's a great shade on you!
Nice to see you rocking the electric blue dress! Does your boyfriend feel threatened by your sheer cuteness and utterance about needing to go on more first dates yet? ;)
No seriously -- LOVE that watch. Where did you get it?
love the ensemble, although I'm a little disappointed that you don't like to 'ho it up' like I do on the first date... who am I kidding, I dress like a schoolmarm!
This will definitely inspire a post soon.
I love your outfit and that article! You MUST tell me - where did you get that AMAZING clutch!?!?!?!?
I'd never have noticed anything to do with urine if no one had mentioned it; I was too stunned by how great you look in blue!
Once again your blog has provided me with a favourite phrase to use and cherish at family gatherings. "Hey, come on in...oh watch the severe urine damage."
The key to the phrase is "severe." It could have easily been ruined by "extreme."
Also - you look lovely.
Your outfit was by far my favorite out of the bunch. I shared the article with a friend and again, your ensamble was the one she picked out as a fav and she isn't even a biased Daddy Likey follower like I am!
Great color and the black really balances is out.
I love that outfit, it's so cute and not too extreme but not too conservative. Note to self: find electric blue dress and try to look as good as Winona in it.

Thank you! I love it too! I got the watch at a little shop at the beach probably four or five years ago. It was a huge purchase for me at $50, but totally worth it and I wish I'd bought out their stock and resold them for $50,000 each, because then I would be rich.

The clutch is from a vintage shop. It's technically a purse but I tuck the in the strap!
Watching America's Next Top Model -- and there is a commercial in which Whitney (last season's winner, for those who don't know) was wearing almost this exact same outfit. You are even more fashionable than Covergirl, without even knowing it!
