Awesome Affordable Etsy Find of the Week!

I asked my 14-year-old brother to get this print for me for Christmas, because it's affordable and it's awesome and last year he forgot to get his siblings Christmas presents so he just wrapped up some curiosities from my dad's office at the last minute and I got a sting ray skeleton in a paper bag. (When confronted about it this year, he said, "In hindsight, that may have been a bit of a faux pas.")

Yesterday I was helping him do some Christmas shopping for the rest of the family and he goes, "What do you want for Christmas?"

"I sent you the link already," I said.

"That piece of cardstock with stuff written on it?"

"It's a screenprint!" I insisted. "It's beautiful and I want to hang it over my desk."

"Is it OK if I save some money by writing the same quote on a piece of paper with a sharpie marker?"

"No. You don't understand art, kid."

Maybe this year I'll get the cow pelvis hanging above my dad's computer.

p.s. On Wednesday I will be posting the huge, exciting Closet Confidential giveaway bonanza that I alluded to way back in September. Stay tuned!

Ooh I really like that print!
A cow pelvis in an office though, may I ask why?

PS: the verification word for posting this comment is moopoker - ironic or what?!

You find the best stuff on Etsy. This print and those headbands from the other day are officially on my list!

Sting ray skeletons and cow pelvises? What a strange home you grew up in...

One year I forgot to get my brother a gift so I gave him a book off my bookshelf -that my mother had given me for my birthday two years ago. Re-gifting within the family = awkward Christmas morning.

And boo you for reminding me that I still have to do my Christmas shopping. "one drive way shoveled" coupons here we come!

That must be a little brother thing, because mine did something very similar one Christmas...

hey! this is actually true, so I heard in my astronomy class. It's because all complex elements (those other than hydrogen and helium, I believe) are made only as a result of nuclear fusion that takes place only in stars. since humans have complex elements in their genetic make up, parts of all humans were at one time in a star since matter is not destroyed.

in short perhaps I will buy one

Ha!! Firstly, I'm so glad you like the print. :) Secondly, I love that your brother called it 'a piece of cardstock with stuff written on it.' Teenagers are so weird!! Thanks so much for including my work on your blog-- happiest new year!
