Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Fabric Paint
I'm not sure what made me go into the art supply store last week. Maybe it was because I accidentally sat next to the virtuoso in my guitar class (she played a flawless rendition of "Scarborough Fair" while I was using my right index finger to physically push my midget pinkie toward the vicinity of the fifth fret. Come on!) and I needed some creative catharsis. OK, yeah, that was definitely it.I ended up buying two little tubs of fabric paint because they were metallic purple and gold and on sale, and I finally got a chance to play with them today. Here's my first attempt to spice up an old white t-shirt I found sitting at the bottom of my drawer:It's not Scarborough Fair, but hey, what is?
Maybe someday I'll reach that fifth fret and buy myself a third color to celebrate.

Sooo cool! I would buy it!
It's gorgeous! What will you wear it with? Jeans...skirt...
Nice work!
Wow, that's great! Purple and gold . . . me likey . . .
that's really nice!
p.s. I have trouble reaching certain chords on a guitar too. damn stupid small hands.
it looks really cool. you should consider switching to paper or real canvas and let loose your inner artist. xo
Holy cats. I can't believe you were able to create a lovely portrait in flippin' fabric paint. Forget the guitar, you've found your calling as a shirt artist.
i completly agree with sal...
this is so great.
simple and so COOOOL!
notice the 4 o's
i never do that!
:O :O
wow!!
What are you playing that requires spanning five frets?
You could dominate the 80's t-shirt revival going on right now.
Awesome. I can't paint or draw for crap so I'm totally jelous. Then again, I can't play the guitar either.
I think I need to go to Michaels and see if I can find something I'm good at.

Stunning! Is there something on the back? I have just had a GREAT idea while looking at your T-shirt. A face on the front, and a ponytail on the back. But maybe the ponytail bit will look weird. Or people won't understand. In which case you will have to draw a tiny arrow pointing to it saying "this is a ponytail". And then, what if they don't speak English? Then you will have to use different languages and how do you know who you are going to pass in the street? See how quickly a good idea becomes complicated?
In all honesty, I will send you a t-shirt and moolah if you will do that for me.
That is killer.
Amen.
Looks great!
I must say, I have been toying with the same exact idea, but a different design. maybe when I'm not so busy.

Yes, yes! More DIY!
I think you should start scouring garage sales for an airbrush kit. DIY FTW!

I'd probably have a full-on 80's moment and pair with leggings, slim pants, or a mini skirt.

I contend that it's BETTER than Scarborough Fair.
That's brilliant....you can totally sell that for like $45, people will SNAP. IT. UP. For reals.
That came out so good! I can't believe ou did it with only two different colors! The shading is wonderful! It's eerily lifelike. I think you may freak people out -- haha. They may think your shirt is staring at them!
