Puff Piece

I found this jacket when scouring the Nordstrom under $30 finds yesterday (actually, I found it what seems like years ago when it was full price and loved it and then re-found it and re-loved it yesterday at its new tiny price). I adore it. It's so fun and carefree and smart and unique--everything I look for in a friend.

There's only one problem: I'm pretty sure it would look horrible on me. It's a balloon jacket so it puffs out at the waist and sleeves, and it has some rouching at the chest. Basically, it's an amalgam of everything someone with big boobs and a less than tiny stomach should avoid. But it's 70% off ($28.90 down from $98.00!) and I get so happy whenever I look at it--all puffy and bouncy and cheery! Should I just be wild and throw all caution and fit guides and do's and don'ts to the wind and add it to my Christmas list and be happy and puffy for years to come? Maybe buy it and have it mounted in a shadow box so it can still make me happy without the unflattering side effects?

Please advise.

i say buy it. i don't have even $30, being highschool-bound and unemployed, but i'm pretty sure you're kind of like an adult, so by all means go for it.

i wouldn't buy it becuase i have TINY boobs and a tummmmy. it would actually emphasize how my tummy and boobs are exactly the same size!!!
but you should go for it--
big boobs might puff it out alot, but the puffiness is what makes it cute!

By all means, buy it! Don't wear it with a high-collared shirt as in the pictures but with a cute tank top or t-shirt instead. And those slim black trousers you wrote about some time ago ;-). And kitten heels. You'll look fabulous, I'm sure!

perhaps the puffiness will hide boobs and tummy so it looks like you're actually a wee skinny thing under alot of puff?

BUY IT. wear it with a tight tee/tank underneath and it would look hot!! as long as everything else you are wearing is fitted and streamline i think you could pull it off.

It can be the most amazing Christmas present for a flat, thin, straight up and down body type friend of your's.

I love it, but I really can not see it looking good on anyone with curves (like myself).

Super cute jacket! I'd buy it. Wear it with skinny jeans or pencil skirts. It might even downplay the ample boobs ;)

You might try just looking at it on the web until you're sick of it. That works for me sometimes when I'm in love with something (usually shoes) but I know no good would come of actually buying them.
