Don't Show-cha Your Chocha!

The Don't Show-cha Your Chocha submissions have been rollin' in, and if it didn't sound supremely creepy, I would say something like, "I'm now seeing at least 5 chochas every day! It's marvelous!" OK, who am I kidding? Creepy is my middle name. Bring on the chocha!

Let's start things off with an oldie but a goodie sent in by reader Marcela:

So, ummm, Kate Moss? Are you wearing a diaper? I'm only asking because if you are, diapers are going to become the next big thing, and I want to be ahead of the trend.

Lovely Leslie tracked found a Free People dress that seems to have an important section of fabric missing in front:
'She says: In this shot it's like the photographer reassured her that nothing was showing, but she does not believe him because the dress is so. freaking. short.

An anonymous reader submitted this tribute to calculated hand placement:

I think those hands deserve a hand! Like, seriously, a round of applause, because without them we'd be seeing her crotch.

Here's perennial DSYC favorite Lindsay Lohan:

Reader Katie points out: If it weren't for the happy accident of the drooping bag strap, there'd be some serious chocha goin' on. I'd probably cover my face, too.

Speaking of perennial DSYC favorites, where's American Apparel? Oh. Here it is:

Says Meghan: Although this isn't exactly a chocha shot, I thought it would fit in quite nicely with all your other chocha-tacular images. The worst part? If you read the description, these are apparently running shorts. I'm sorry but if it looks like underwear, fits like underwear, and wearing it in public illicts the same response as if you were wearing underwear....it's probably underwear! [Editor's note: that's my new motto!]

Reader Hanna came across a photo of another Hannah, the latter of which may have some trouble sitting down:

I also really liked Hanna's accompanying email, which said: As an avid reader of your blog, I am always on the hunt for some chocha fabulous enough to get a mention on your blog. Chocha hunting=awkward hobby? Nawww.

Reader Brittney sent along this photo, which as we know from the Chocha Glossary, is referred to as the joe-cha:

Should we tell him his pants are down? Do you think he knows?

And finally, check out this powerful leg clench:

Says Erin: It actually says that it's a TOP. Then why, for the love of god and all that is holy, wear it as a dress?!

Actually, WendyB has the answer to that question.

Find a chocha? Send it to me (creepy is my middle name, remember?)! daddylikeyblog@gmail.com

I have a friend who likes to wear chocha-tastic skirts ALL THE TIME. I think I should just send in her pictures...but then I might lose her friendship.

Oh woe! Life and its many difficult decisions.

Why does the fabric swatch in the AA 'running shorts' photo look so much like carpet...?

This always makes me laugh! Thanks :)

The pants down is hands down my favorite photo. All these are great, though.

American Apparel is so crude and tawdry, it almost makes me laugh. I think they're manipulating the public by pushing the outer limits of good taste as far as they can, and see who is silly enough to fall for it!

Winona!
The other day my roommate was going to an "ABC" (anything but clothes) party and was dawning the ever-popular garbage bag dress. She came up to me and said, "Bekah! Help! I need to fix my dress! My vag is hanging out!".
I immediately thought of DSYC and was so happy that my roommate was wanting to fix her DYSC...situation.

OH did I tell you that we had a customer come in wearing a chocha skirt?! It was terrifying and beautiful in it's chocha ness. I should have called you.

I have to say, despite that fact that I am on occasion a borderline offender, DSYC is the high light of my week. Or day anyways.

Isn't it amazing that we all finally got the answer to one of life's big questions thanks to a simple photoshoot?

I always seem to read "Don't Show-Cha Your Chocha" when I'm in the library procrastinating. And it never, ever fails to make me burst out into seriously awkward laughter, to the horror of everyone else around me. Thanks, Winona. I think the Joe-cha in this post made my entire week.

I just showed the AA "running shorts" to my husband. He didn't believe me. Then I showed him the caption... I quote:

"What kind of place do people go running in shorts like that...and why aren't we living there."

Rather than joe-cha it should be bro-cha.

God I love laying on the couch with no pants on reading DSYC...I have very productive weekends...

Just had to back track to DSYC archives to find out what it's all about, but now I'm in the know I love it!
I was trying to find a basic dress recently and was tormented by the lack of anything which would cover more than my bum cheeks (finding something that long was hard enough)
American Apparel is definitely the worst offender. I think the underwear mantra should be added to the bottom of all their tags like the warning labels on cigarette packets.

ha - i'd almost forgotten about my chocha-bearing t-shirt submission.

Um- that photo of Kate Moss is so barf-tastic. Yep, I'm pretty sure the diaper look is not going to be in this season. ;)

You know whats worse than being guilty of DSYC? Bending over whilst wearing an obscenely short 'dress'
