Merino, My Messiah

Alright, so I made it through the day, and perhaps in hindsight I was a bit dramatic. In any case, I feel a lot better now and I believe my nosebug has moved out and found a new home. One thing that kept me going during the hard times, aside from my boyfriend's homemade lentil soup, was the new sweater I purchased from the J. Crew final sale a few days ago that has yet to arrive.

Ah, my light at the end of the tunnel: the featherweight merino relaxed v-neck sweater. Normally $70, on sale for $49.99, plus the 20% off that I got for shopping on the special secret 20% off sale day (and by "secret" I really mean "heavily advertised," but still impressive right?). The one I got is actually a gorgeous rich cobalt blue color, but it's not on the site anymore so you get to look at a pink one instead, which is kind of making me want another one.

Anyway, now that I have lived through that harrowing nosebug saga, I plan to make the most of life, perhaps open an orphanage in Russia and plant lots of trees and protest the war and most definitely wear my new J. Crew v-neck sweater with slim black pants (but not the ones from the Gap because I feel their new ad campaign's computer-generated exhumation of Audrey Hepburn is pure blasphemy), fabulous flats and tons of gold chain necklaces.

Life is beautiful, isn't it?

I'm longing for a grey one. There's a scoopneck I've had my eye on that I don't think I can wait on a sale for.

The fact that they put Hepburn dancing around to AC/DC makes me wake up some nights in a cold sweat...
